Water Intake at Lac Supérieur

Lac supérieur pompe sous la glace Groupe H2O

Project Background

At Lac Supérieur, water intake from the lake is an alternative to artesian wells and Gélinite wells. For this project, we installed a water treatment system to ensure clean and disinfected water. The lake can provide an unlimited water source, making it a wise choice for high water demand.

Advantages of Lake Water Intake

  • Unlimited Water Quantity: Unlike artesian wells, the lake provides a constant water source.
  • Year-Round Access: Even in winter, you can access the pump despite the ice.
  • Flexibility: Useful for installations with high water demand.

Water Pump Installation

For this project, we installed a water pump that can be used in all seasons. This pump is capable of withstanding harsh conditions, such as freezing temperatures. Installing a pump at the lake requires extra precautions to ensure easy access throughout the year.

Water Treatment System

Lake water intake requires a robust treatment system. The installed system can discolor and effectively disinfect the water. These steps are crucial to ensure that the water is potable and safe for domestic use.

Transition from Summer to Winter Seasons

One of the challenges of this project was to ensure that the pump operates in both summer and winter. With our expertise in water pump installation, we designed the system to remain operational despite temperature variations.

Project Results

After installation, the lake water intake system met all expectations. The water is clean and disinfected, and the pump operates reliably year-round. Clients can now benefit from a stable and uninterrupted water supply.
