Drilling an artesian well

An artesian well is a water collection system that draws water from deep underground, from the captive groundwater table. In the Lanaudière and Laurentian regions, this type of well is generally drilled to depths ranging from 30 to 150 meters (100 to 500 feet). For a 400-foot-deep artesian well, you’ll need to budget around $24,170.00 plus taxes.

This price includes

– 400 feet of drilling ;

– 40 feet of steel pipe ;

– Various drilling materials ;

– Pumping equipment, including a Goulds pump and a Hydropro pressurized tank;

– Labor

– Excludes all work and materials related to the trench between the house and the well.

– Cementing/sealing ($1,800 to $2,800+tx)

– Cementing supervision ($500+tx)

– Use of specialized equipment ($1,500+tx)

– Well hydrofracturing ($3,000+tx)

In 2023, the average well depth reached was 300 feet with 40 feet of steel pipe.
