By passing through a filter medium, i.e. a material that filters water, ions change from a soluble to an insoluble form. By filtering these metals and minerals, it improves the color, taste or smell of the water. Preoxidation actually allows the catalyst filter to do its job well.<\/p><p>Depending on the parameters of the water, this step involves adding either air or bleach to the water. This allows the catalyst filter to be regenerated, thus maximizing the oxidation process continuously.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0c0f101 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"0c0f101\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e8c5f6d elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"e8c5f6d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"> Different catalytic filters exist<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-db52409 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"db52409\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The choice of the catalyst filter depends on the water parameters. Here are the main catalytic filters we use and their characteristics:<\/p><p><b>The catalyst filter Birm<\/b><b>MD<\/b><b> <\/b><\/p><ul><li aria-level=\"1\">Removes iron and manganese.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Works with a pH of 7 to 7.5 for iron and 8 to 8.5 for manganese.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Requires pre-oxidation with air.<\/li><\/ul><p>To do this, we install a venturi system to inject air into the water to increase its oxygen concentration and promote oxidation.<\/p><p><b>The Catalyst Filter Centaur<\/b><b>MD<\/b><\/p><ul><li aria-level=\"1\">Reduces sulphur in the water, and at the same time the smell of rotten eggs.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\">Operates with a minimum pH of 6.5 to preserve the filter media.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Requires less water when backwashing because it is very light.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Usually requires pre-oxidation with air.<\/li><\/ul><p>To do this, we install a venturi system to inject air into the water to increase its oxygen concentration and promote oxidation.<\/p><p><b>Green Sand Catalyst Filter GreensandPlus<\/b><b>MD<\/b><\/p><ul><li aria-level=\"1\">Removes iron, manganese and sulfur.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Works with a minimum pH of 7 for iron and 8 for manganese.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Is very efficient.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Always requires pre-oxidation with sodium hypochlorite.<\/li><\/ul><p>To do this, you must add bleach to the unit 3 to 4 times a year.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-18fd463 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"18fd463\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-da72640 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"da72640\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Bleach is also used for :<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-84f611e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"84f611e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li aria-level=\"1\">Decolorize the water when there are tannins that give a tint to the water.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Disinfect water when unwanted organisms are present.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d9a8426 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"d9a8426\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-417ff6d elementor-widget elementor-widget-button\" data-id=\"417ff6d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"button.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-button-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-button elementor-button-link elementor-size-sm\" href=\"\/en\/product-category\/water-treatment-systems\/\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-content-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-text\"> How much does it cost?<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is a catalyst filter?
